Hello everyone and blessings to you all! I am super excited to tell you about our 2018 mission trip to Namibia, the land of the brave!
Our plans are set and we will be leaving August 9th. This trip is going to be such a blessing. The best part is that our entire family is going to do mission work together at Community Hope School. Cameron is now 13, Hannah 12 and Corbin 10. These kids have grown up all of their lives following me around as a youth pastor, missional pastor in Namibia, and back home to more ministry work. They have always been able to serve in some capacity or another. This year they will get to have a much more intimate part in our mission work in Namibia.
We will be working for a week at Community Hope School doing bible studies, music, crafts, rallies, and story telling. The children of Community Hope are such wonderful kids full of hope and love. The hardest part of going to Namibia is coming back home and leaving our Namibian family.
The kids we work with do not get much love at home, are poor, hungry, but full of hope. The message this year to these kids is that God delights in them. That they may not be loved at home, but God loves them so much more and has a home for them one day with him. They may be poor, but they are rich in Christ. They may be hungry physically, but Christ has promised that they will hunger nor thirst no more because he is an all satisfying Savior!
Another blessing of this trip is that Peter and his fiancé Miriam are getting married while we are there and I will be helping with parts of the wedding! Wow, 10 years of traveling and working with this kid, now a man and now I am able to help in his marriage to a godly woman! God is so good!
Our costs are around $10K dollars this year for us to make such a trip. Many of you have supported us from day one of our missions in Namibia. We would ask that you would pray about being a financial partner with us to reach these kids with the hope of Jesus this year in Namibia. We want these children to hear about the love of Jesus Christ, and affirm them and encourage them in the hope that Christ brings to all people.
If you would like to support our efforts financially, please go to the following link and follow the prompts.
We can't thank you enough for all you have meant to our family here in the US and to our wonderful family in Namibia.
